Does the 570Z-6P-PR come with a nozzle?
No — this product is a spray body only. A nozzle must be purchased separately. The 570Z is compatible with Toro's full nozzle lineup, including MPR, MPR Plus, Precision Series, and Variable Arc nozzles, as well as any industry-standard male-thread nozzle. This flexibility allows you to precisely match the radius and arc to your specific irrigation zone.

What does the built-in 30 PSI pressure regulator do?
The in-stem pressure regulator reduces incoming supply pressure to a constant 30 PSI at the nozzle outlet, regardless of fluctuations in your system pressure. This is the optimal operating pressure for most spray nozzles and eliminates misting and fogging caused by excess pressure — both of which waste water through evaporation and wind drift. On long lateral lines or sloped zones where pressure varies from head to head, this feature is especially valuable for ensuring uniform coverage across every head in the zone.

What is the Zero Flush Wiper Seal?
The Zero Flush Wiper Seal is a patented Toro feature that prevents the spray head from flushing water at system start-up. Traditional spray bodies push out a brief surge of water as the riser pops up. The Zero Flush seal eliminates that waste, which is especially beneficial in systems with many heads per zone — it allows more sprinklers to be installed on the same line without exceeding flow capacity.

How does the ratcheting riser work?
The ratcheting riser allows you to rotate the spray body cap in precise increments after installation to fine-tune nozzle alignment and arc direction without digging up or disturbing the fitting. This is a significant time-saver during installation and on service calls where heads need to be realigned after settling or disturbance from foot traffic or mowing.

What is the maximum operating pressure for this spray head?
The 570Z-6P-PR can operate at supply pressures up to 75 PSI, with the in-stem regulator reducing outlet pressure to 30 PSI. If your static supply pressure exceeds 75 PSI, we recommend installing an upstream pressure regulator to protect the body and fittings. The recommended operating range for best performance is 25–50 PSI at the inlet.

Is this head compatible with smart irrigation controllers?
Yes. The 570Z-6P-PR connects to standard 1/2" lateral pipe and is operated by any solenoid valve connected to a controller. Can this spray head be used on slopes or long lines?
Yes — the built-in pressure regulation makes the 570Z-6P-PR a strong choice for sloped terrain or long lateral runs where pressure commonly varies from zone start to end. For slopes with significant grade changes where low-head drainage is a concern, consider adding a check valve. The 570Z PRX models include a factory-installed one-piece check valve that maintains up to 10 ft. of elevation change, preventing water from draining out of the lowest heads when the zone shuts off.
