Step 1 — Choose Your Location
Select a spot that receives at least 6–8 hours of direct sunlight daily. The 42" circular footprint fits beautifully as a standalone feature in a yard, as a patio centerpiece, or clustered in groups of two or three for a dramatic raised garden vignette. Ensure the surface is reasonably level — a slight slope of up to 1 inch across the diameter is acceptable, as the built-in drainage system manages excess water flow.

Step 2 — Assemble the Panels (Wrench Included)
Line up the curved side panels and connect them using the included food-grade stainless steel bolts, nuts, and washers. A wrench is included in the kit — no additional tools are required. Step 3 — Note the Rubber Safety Strip
This model features a rubber safety strip along the top rim of the assembled bed. The strip protects hands and wrists from metal edges during planting, weeding, and harvesting — making it especially well-suited for gardeners with sensitive skin or those working alongside children.

Step 4 — Line the Base (Optional)
If placing the bed directly over grass or weeds, lay cardboard or a weed barrier sheet inside the base before filling. This suppresses existing vegetation without impeding drainage. Cardboard will decompose naturally within one to two seasons, adding organic matter to the soil column.

Step 5 — Fill with Quality Soil
A 42"-diameter × 32"-tall round bed holds approximately 24 cubic feet of growing medium. A mix of high-quality topsoil, compost, and perlite (a common ratio is 60% topsoil / 30% compost / 10% perlite) provides an excellent growing environment for most vegetables, herbs, and flowers. Fill to approximately 1–2 inches below the rim to prevent soil spillover during watering.

Step 6 — Install Drip Irrigation
