Description

The Fastest Way to Turn Corners. No Glue Required.

The Hydro-Rain BL-406-007 3/4" Blu-Lock Elbow is designed to change the direction of your Blu-Lock Tubing by 90 degrees instantly. Using a revolutionary "push-and-go" retention system, this fitting eliminates the messy primer, toxic glues, and long drying times associated with traditional PVC installation.

Perfect for high-pressure sprinkler systems, this unit features a stainless steel retainer ring that grips the pipe securely while an EPDM seal ensures a leak-free joint. It is widely considered one of the most efficient irrigation fittings on the market, allowing installers to work wet or dry and reducing installation time by up to 80%.

Why Choose Hydro-Rain Blu-Lock?
  • Instant Connection: Simply push the pipe into the fitting. The stainless steel teeth lock it in place immediately.
  • No Chemicals: Completely eliminates the need for solvent welding, primer, or glue, making it eco-friendly and safer to use.
  • Swivel Capability: Unlike glued PVC, Blu-Lock fittings can swivel around the pipe even after connection, making it easy to orient sprinkler heads perfectly.
  • High Durability: Molded from UV-resistant ABS and designed to withstand the high-pressure surges of standard city water connections.
  • Removable: Mistakes happen. With the specific release tool, the fitting can be removed and reused.

How to Install: Push-to-Connect Guide

Installation is tool-free (except for cutting the pipe).

Step 1: Cut the Pipe
Ensure a clean, square cut on your 3/4" Blu-Lock tubing. Avoid using hacksaws that leave burrs; a sharp pipe cutter is recommended.

Step 2: Mark Insertion Depth (Optional)
For precision, mark the pipe approximately 1 inch from the end to ensure you push it in far enough.

Step 3: Push to Connect
Insert the pipe firmly into the elbow until it hits the internal stop. The steel teeth will grab the pipe instantly.

Step 4: Check the Seal
Give a gentle tug to ensure the teeth have engaged. The connection is now ready for water pressure immediately.

✔ Compatibility Check

Crucial information for a leak-free system:

  • Compatible Pipe: Works ONLY with 3/4" Blu-Lock HDPE Tubing.
  • NOT Compatible: Do NOT use with standard white Schedule 40 PVC pipe or standard black poly drip tubing. The outside diameters (OD) are different.
  • No Glue: Do NOT use PVC glue or primer. Chemicals will degrade the ABS plastic body.
