Description

Lush, Vibrant Hanging Baskets. Zero Daily Watering.

Watering hanging baskets is a chore—they are prone to drying out quickly and require tedious, daily attention. The Hanging Basket Drip Irrigation Kit is the easiest, most efficient way to automatically water up to 20 elevated plants with zero hassle. This comprehensive package includes everything you need to build a system from your faucet to the highest planter, allowing you to open the box and start watering right away. Designed for a quick DIY setup, it requires no glue or complicated plumbing tools.

This easy-to-install DIY kit uses 1/4" Micro Tubing to discreetly drop water directly into each basket. By delivering water right to the soil at a slow, steady rate, it maximizes water conservation, minimizes messy runoff on your patio, and ensures your delicate flowers thrive. The system is incredibly flexible, easily navigating along eaves, pergolas, or deck railings.

We have pre-calculated all the components so you don't have to guess; simply cut and connect the parts together to ensure every hanging plant receives uniform hydration. Because most gardeners prefer to keep their main hose available for cleaning or other tasks, we highly recommend adding a Brass Y-Splitter to your order so you can run your automatic irrigation system and your garden hose simultaneously.

How to Install: A Step-by-Step Guide

This system connects easily to any standard outdoor hose faucet.

Step 1: The Header (Faucet Assembly)
If you purchased the kit With Timer, attach the Timer to the faucet first. Next, simply screw on the Tee Filter, and finally the Female Hose to 1/4" Fitting. This assembly connects your micro tubing directly to the water source.

Step 2: Run the Tubing
Run the 1/4" Micro Tubing from the faucet up to the eaves, patio cover, or wherever your baskets hang. Use the included 1/4" Barbed Elbows to cleanly navigate 90-degree corners, and secure the line using the 1/4" Tubing Clamps.

Step 3: Connect the Baskets
When you reach a hanging basket, simply cut the 1/4" tubing and insert a 1/4" Tee Fitting. Attach a new segment of 1/4" Micro Tubing to the third leg of the Tee, allowing it to drop down directly into the planter.

Step 4: Place the Emitters
Inside the basket, push a 1 GPH Cobra Stake Emitter onto the end of the dropped Micro Tubing. Stake it securely into the potting soil to ensure the water drips exactly where the roots need it.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Is this kit easy to install?
Yes! This kit is designed specifically for simple DIY installation. It requires no glue or special plumbing tools. Most users can install it along their eaves or patio in about an hour.

Will water run out of my baskets and onto my patio?
By using low-flow drippers, this system applies water slowly. This allows the potting soil to absorb the moisture completely without excessive runoff, keeping your patio cleaner than hand-watering.

Can I connect this to a timer?
Absolutely. You can attach any standard hose faucet timer directly to the faucet before the filter assembly to make your watering 100% automatic.

How do I attach the tubing to my house or pergola?
We have included 1/4" Tubing Clamps in this kit to neatly tack the 1/4" Micro Tubing securely along wood beams, eaves, or walls.

Is it expandable?
Because this system runs entirely on 1/4" micro tubing, the flow capacity is limited to about 30 GPH total per line. With twenty 1 GPH emitters included, you can add a few more, but for significantly larger setups, you would need to upgrade to a 1/2" mainline system.

"No more messy runoff"

"I used to hand water my fuchsias with a wand, which washed dirt all over my deck. The drippers in this kit put the water in so slowly that the soil actually absorbs it. Much cleaner and the plants look way healthier."

"Perfect for my front deck"

"This kit made setting up irrigation to my front deck so easy. I have several hanging pots along the edge of the deck and always had to drag the hose around to water until I found this kit. The 1/4'' poly is very easy to work with and hides really well against the deck. "
