The Fiskars Pro Pruning Shears (SKU: APPS) are a professional bypass pruner built for gardeners who demand precision and comfort. The angled cutting head and ergonomic handle significantly reduce wrist fatigue, while adjustable blade tension lets you dial in resistance to match your hand strength and the material being cut. The fully hardened, precision-ground steel blade handles stems and branches up to 1" in diameter and stays sharp through heavy use. A low-friction, non-stick coating helps the blade glide through wood, resist rust, and shed sap — and a self-cleaning sap groove keeps operation smooth between cuts.
The blade is both resharpenable and replaceable for long-term value, and the pruner is designed for right- or left-handed use. A convenient handle hang hole makes storage easy. Backed by a Fiskars Lifetime Warranty. Pair these shears with other Fiskars Gardening Tools or browse our full Tools & Accessories collection to complete your garden toolkit.

What is the maximum cutting capacity of these pruning shears?
The Fiskars Pro Pruning Shears can cut stems and branches up to 1 inch in diameter.
For branches larger than 1 inch, consider stepping up to a lopper. Browse our Fiskars Gardening Tools collection for larger-capacity options.
How do I adjust the blade tension?
The blade tension adjustment screw is located on the pruner body. Turn it to increase or decrease resistance until the action feels comfortable for your hand strength and the material you're cutting.
Tighter tension provides more control for precision cuts; looser tension reduces hand fatigue during high-volume trimming sessions.
Can the blade be replaced or sharpened?
Yes — the blade is both resharpenable and replaceable. Regular sharpening keeps the blade performing at its best, and replacement blades are available when the blade is worn beyond sharpening.
Keeping your blade sharp also reduces the cutting force needed, which lessens hand and wrist fatigue over time.
Are these pruners suitable for left-handed users?
Yes. The Fiskars Pro Pruning Shears are designed for both right- and left-handed use.
What warranty do these pruners carry?
These pruners are covered by the Fiskars Limited Lifetime Warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
