How to Install: A Step-by-Step Guide

This fitting requires two different connection methods.

Step 1: The Threaded Side
Apply thread seal tape to the male threads of the riser or nipple you are attaching. Screw it into the female end of the adapter. Hand-tighten, then give it one extra turn with a wrench. Do NOT use glue on the threads.

Step 2: Prep for Gluing
Clean the inside of the adapter's slip socket and the outside of your PVC pipe. Remove any dirt or burrs.

Step 3: Prime
Apply PVC Primer to the outside of the pipe and the inside of the adapter socket.

Step 4: Glue and Set
While the primer is wet, apply PVC Glue to both surfaces. Push the adapter fully onto the pipe, twisting a quarter turn to spread the cement. Hold for 30 seconds to bond.

✔ Compatibility Check

Ensure you have the correct threads and pipe:

  • Slip End: Fits OVER standard Schedule 40 or 80 PVC Pipe of the same size.
  • Threaded End: Accepts Male Pipe Threads (MPT) only.
  • It will NOT accept Garden Hose Threads (GHT).
  • It will NOT fit inside another fitting (unless using a spigot adapter).
