Selecting the Right Watering System: Drip or Spray
May 4th 2026
The EZ-FLO Flow Disc Kit is an essential accessory for gardeners and growers whose drip irrigation system runs at low water flow rates. Most EZ-FLO fertilizer injectors require a minimum of 120 gallons per hour (GPH) to operate correctly. If your system's flow falls below that threshold, the injector cannot function as intended — and fertigation simply won't occur. This kit solves that problem by providing three color-coded flow restrictor discs that insert directly into the EZ-FLO hose bib connector (model #3060), reducing the minimum operating flow all the way down to just 7.5 GPH.
Whether you're feeding a small raised bed, a drip system with just a handful of emitters, or a low-output water source, the Flow Disc Kit allows you to continue fertilizing through your drip system without upgrading your entire setup.
Select the correct disc based on your system's actual flow rate.
| Disc Color | Operating Flow Range | Use When... |
|---|---|---|
| White Disc | 60 – 120 GPH | Flow is just under the standard 120 GPH threshold |
| Black Disc | 30 – 60 GPH | Running a medium-low flow system |
| Red Disc | 7.5 – 30 GPH | Running a very small or minimal-emitter drip system |
Only one disc is used at a time. Insert the appropriate disc into your #3060 hose bib connector based on your measured or estimated system flow.
Step 1: Determine Your Flow Rate
Calculate or estimate the total GPH of your drip zone by adding up the output of all your emitters. This will tell you which disc color to use.
Step 2: Select the Correct Disc
Choose the White disc for 60–120 GPH, the Black disc for 30–60 GPH, or the Red disc for 7.5–30 GPH. Use only one disc at a time.
Step 3: Insert into the #3060 Connector
Insert the selected flow restrictor disc into the EZ-FLO hose bib connector (model #3060) before connecting your injector to the water source.
Step 4: Connect and Run Your System
Attach your EZ-FLO injector as usual and start your irrigation system. The disc restricts the water flow enough to allow the injector to operate within its required range.
How do I know if I need a flow disc?
If your EZ-FLO injector is not dispensing fertilizer when the system is running, low flow is the most common cause. Add up the GPH output of all emitters in your zone. If the total is under 120 GPH, you need a flow disc.
You can find the GPH rating of your emitters printed on the emitter body or in its product documentation.
Which EZ-FLO units is this kit compatible with?
The flow discs are designed to be inserted into the EZ-FLO hose bib connector, model #3060. This connector is used with EZ-FLO hose bib injector units.
If you are unsure whether your unit uses the #3060 connector, check your injector's documentation or contact DripWorks for assistance.
Can I use more than one disc at a time?
No. Only one flow disc should be installed at a time. Using multiple discs simultaneously is not recommended and may interfere with proper injector operation.
Does this kit work with EZ-FLO mainline or high-pressure units?
No. The Flow Disc Kit is specifically designed for EZ-FLO hose bib units that use the #3060 connector. It is not compatible with EZ-FLO mainline or high-pressure injector systems.
