Description

Connect Tubing to Faucet. Simple & Secure.

The Barbed Female Hose End Swivel is the essential link between your water source and your irrigation system. Designed with a 3/4" Female Hose Thread (FHT) swivel nut, this fitting attaches directly to any standard outdoor spigot, garden hose, water timer, or pressure regulator.

The "swivel" feature allows the threaded nut to spin independently of the barbed end. This means you can tighten the fitting onto your faucet without twisting or kinking your entire line of poly tubing. Manufactured by Dura Plastics from Schedule 40 PVC, it offers a robust, leak-resistant connection for professional and residential systems alike.

Why Choose a Swivel Adapter?
  • No Kinking: The independent spinning nut allows you to attach or remove the fitting without rotating the attached tubing, preventing twists in your mainline.
  • Universal Source Connection: The 3/4" FHT side fits 99% of US outdoor faucets, hose bibbs, and garden hoses.
  • Secure Seal: Includes a hose washer inside the swivel nut to ensure a drip-free connection at the water source.
  • High-Flow Design: The full-bore insert barb allows for maximum water flow to your drip zone.
  • Durable PVC: Made from UV-resistant Schedule 40 PVC, built to withstand sun exposure and pressure.

How to Install: A Step-by-Step Guide

Connect your system in minutes.

Step 1: Check the Washer
Ensure the rubber hose washer is seated inside the female swivel nut. This washer is critical for a leak-proof seal.

Step 2: Connect to Source
Thread the swivel nut onto your faucet, timer, or pressure regulator. Hand-tighten until snug. Do not use Teflon tape on hose threads.

Step 3: Prepare Tubing
Slide a hose clamp over the end of your poly tubing. (Optional: Soften the tubing end with warm water to make insertion easier).

Step 4: Insert and Clamp
Push the barbed end of the fitting into the tubing until it hits the stop. Slide the clamp over the barb area and tighten it down securely.

✔ Compatibility Check

Ensure this matches your setup:

  • Thread Side: Fits 3/4" Male Hose Threads (MHT) found on spigots and garden hoses.
  • It does NOT fit Pipe Threads (NPT/IPS) directly.
  • Barb Side: Fits standard Poly Tubing (1/2", 3/4", or 1" ID).
  • Pressure: Always install a pressure regulator upstream if connecting to a high-pressure house spigot.
