Description

Connect Risers Directly to Your Mainline.

The Barbed Female Combo Tee is a specialized fitting designed to integrate threaded components into your irrigation system seamlessly. Constructed from durable Schedule 40 PVC, this tee features barbed ends for a secure connection to poly tubing and a threaded center outlet.

This configuration is ideal for installing sprinklers, risers, or other Male Pipe Thread (MPT) accessories directly into a run of poly pipe. Whether you are setting up a large-scale agricultural system or a residential garden zone, the Barbed Female Combo Tee ensures a sturdy, leak-resistant branch point for your watering devices.

Why Choose Barbed Insert Fittings?
  • Versatile Threaded Outlet: The Female Pipe Thread (FPT) center allows for the direct attachment of Schedule 80 risers or pop-up sprinklers without the need for complex glued manifolds.
  • Heavy-Duty Construction: Made from high-quality Schedule 40 PVC, these fittings resist cracking and degradation from UV exposure and soil chemicals.
  • Secure Grip: Sharp barbs "bite" into the inner wall of the tubing, providing excellent pull-out resistance when secured with a hose clamp.
  • Economical Solution: A cost-effective way to create multiple watering points along a long run of mainline tubing.

How to Install: A Step-by-Step Guide

Proper installation ensures a leak-free system.

Step 1: Prep the Riser
Wrap the threads of your riser or sprinkler with thread seal tape. Screw it into the center threaded port of the tee. Hand tighten firmly.

Step 2: Cut the Line
Cut your poly tubing at the desired location for the sprinkler. Ensure the cut is clean and square.

Step 3: Insert Barbs
Slide a hose clamp over each end of the tubing. Insert the barbed ends of the tee into the tubing. If the pipe is cold, dipping the ends in warm water can make insertion easier.

Step 4: Clamp
Slide the clamps over the area where the tubing overlaps the barbs. Tighten the clamps securely with a nut driver or screwdriver.

✔ Compatibility Check

Verify your connection types:

  • Center Port: Fits Male Pipe Thread (MPT) components like Risers or Nipples.
  • It will NOT fit Drip Tape.
