The valve works fine, but the threading is a bad option as a connection. At least half of the dozens used leak. They're fine screwing on one side but when you go to screw a line on the other, the reverse side of course starts loosening. I'll throw these out and get the barbed type. They are harder to connect but that's why they don't leak. Avoid threaded.
did the trick as expected 1/4 threaded valves, and 1/4 inch threaded connectors
Make any mini-sprinkler or sprayer adjustable by inserting a 1/4" Micro-Flow Valve on a 1/4" line. Micro-Flow valves can also be used in place of 1/4" transfer barbs to control the water flow to individual plants. The threaded Micro-Valve can be used with {{widget type="catalog/product_widget_link" template="catalog/product/widget/link/link_inline.phtml" id_path="product/1459"}}, {{widget type="catalog/product_widget_link" template="catalog/product/widget/link/link_inline.phtml" id_path="product/306"}} and 1/4" Soaker Dripline. The valve will turn on or off with a simple quarter turn.
