Complete Venturi Fertigation Kits for Drip Irrigation Systems

The 1/2" Mazzei Injector Kit is a ready-to-install fertigation solution for gardens, farms, and commercial irrigation systems. Each kit pairs a commercial-grade Mazzei venturi injector with an F-30 L liquid flowmeter (rated 5–40 GPH) and a complete K-184 suction line assembly — so everything you need to start injecting liquid fertilizer or chemicals into your drip irrigation system arrives in one package.

Mazzei venturi injectors work purely on differential pressure — no moving parts, no motor, no electricity. Water flowing through the injector body creates a pressure drop that draws liquid concentrate from a separate container directly into your mainline. Once dialed in, they deliver consistent, reliable fertigation cycle after cycle. Rebuild kits are available if service is ever needed. Important: Select the kit that matches your system's flow rate (GPH). An oversized injector will not draw solution; an undersized one will restrict flow.

Kit Variants & What's Included

Choose the flow-rate option that matches your irrigation system. All three kits include the same suction line assembly and flowmeter — only the injector model differs.

Kit Option Injector Model Included Components
Very Lo Flo 0283 PP (1/2" injector) F-30 L Liquid Flowmeter (1/4" barb, 5–40 GPH)
K-184 Suction Line Kit:
 • 10 ft coiled + 2" clear vinyl tubing (1/4" ID x 3/8" OD)
 • PP ball valve (5/16" orifice, 1/4" FNPT)
 • S-25HB strainer
 • 4 plastic tube clamps
 • TA-225 tubing adapter (1/4" MNPT x 1/4" barb)
Injector hose barb cap
Lo Flo 0287 PP (1/2" injector)
Hi Flo 0384 PP (1/2" injector)

All injectors are 1/2" polypropylene (PP) body. Suction line kit compatible with 1/2" (15mm) and 3/4" (20mm) injectors per Mazzei specification.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I choose the right flow-rate option?
Select the kit based on your irrigation system's operating flow rate in GPH. An injector that is too large for your system will not draw any solution at all; one that is too small will restrict water flow.

If you're unsure of your system's GPH, measure how long it takes to fill a known container at your working pressure, or contact our team at 1-800-522-3747.

What type of fertilizer can I use with a Mazzei injector?
Mazzei injectors require liquid fertilizers or water-soluble concentrates. Dry or granular fertilizers will not work unless fully dissolved in water first.

Liquid fertilizers with less than 0.5% insoluble content are ideal for drip systems to prevent emitter clogging. See our fertilizers & soil amendments category for compatible options.

Do I need a backflow preventer with this kit?
Yes. Any time you inject fertilizer or chemicals into an irrigation system, a backflow preventer is required to protect your potable water supply from contamination.

Install a backflow preventer upstream of the injector, between the water source and the head assembly.

Can I install the injector on a bypass line?
Yes — plumbing the Mazzei on a bypass loop is a common and effective installation method that allows you to fine-tune the injection rate by adjusting how much water is diverted through the injector.

After a brief calibration period to dial in the correct dosage, a bypass installation delivers highly consistent fertigation results with minimal maintenance.

✔ Important Installation Notes

  • Match Flow Rate First: Choose Very Lo Flo, Lo Flo, or Hi Flo based on your system's GPH — an incorrectly sized injector will not function properly.
  • Backflow Prevention Required: Always install a backflow preventer upstream to protect your water supply when using any fertilizer injector.
  • Install After Timer/Valve: Place the injector downstream of your timer or valve; most injectors are not rated for continuous pressure.
