Description

Direct Pipe to Poly. The Secure Solution.

The 1/2" Compression x 3/4" Slip Adapter allows for a seamless transition from rigid PVC piping to flexible drip tubing. Designed to glue directly over the end of a standard 3/4" PVC pipe, this fitting eliminates the need for threaded connectors or extra couplers. It is the perfect solution for extending 1/2" poly tubing from a PVC riser or a cut irrigation line.

This adapter features a 3/4" Slip (Socket) on one side for a permanent solvent weld, and a high-quality compression ring on the other to grip the drip tubing. As one of our most robust irrigation fittings, it ensures a leak-proof, professional-grade connection that withstands the rigors of underground or surface installation.

Why Choose a Slip Adapter?
  • Direct Connection: Mounts directly onto a 3/4" PVC pipe stub, making it ideal for converting old sprinkler risers to drip zones.
  • Permanent Bond: The solvent weld creates a fused joint with the PVC pipe, preventing the leaks often associated with threaded connections.
  • Secure Compression: The internal ring bites firmly into the .700" OD poly tubing, resisting pull-out from pressure surges or thermal expansion.
  • Durable Build: Constructed from high-impact ABS plastic compatible with PVC glue for long-lasting outdoor durability.

How to Install: A Step-by-Step Guide

Requires PVC Primer and Glue (Solvent Cement).

Step 1: Prep the Pipe
Cut your 3/4" PVC pipe square and remove any burrs. Clean the outside of the pipe and the inside of the adapter's socket. Apply Purple Primer to both surfaces.

Step 2: Glue the Adapter
Apply PVC Glue to the pipe end and the adapter socket. Push the adapter firmly onto the pipe, twist a quarter turn, and hold for 30 seconds to bond.

Step 3: Connect Tubing
Cut your 1/2" poly tubing squarely. Push it into the compression end of the adapter. Rock the tubing back and forth while pushing firmly until it passes the internal resistance ring (approx. 1/2" to 3/4" deep).

✔ Compatibility Check
