The 1/2" Compression Female Hose Start Elbow is the ideal starting point for a drip system that connects to a faucet, hose bibb, or garden hose. This fitting features a swivel 3/4" Female Hose Thread (FHT) connection, allowing you to attach it securely to your water source or pressure regulator without twisting your entire line of tubing.
By orienting your 1/2" poly tubing at a 90-degree angle immediately after the connection, this elbow prevents kinking and allows for a neat, organized layout against a house wall or raised bed. As one of our most essential irrigation fittings for head assemblies, it utilizes a secure compression ring to grip the tubing for a permanent, leak-proof seal.

Step 2: Prep Tubing
Cut your 1/2" poly tubing squarely. Check that the end is smooth and clean.
Tip: Warm the tubing end in the sun or hot water to soften it before installation.
Step 3: Insert Tubing
Push the 1/2" tubing into the compression end of the elbow. Rock it back and forth while pushing firmly until it passes the internal resistance ring (approx. 1/2" to 3/4" deep).
