Description

Adapt Garden Hose to PVC Pipe. Instantly.

The Female Hose x 3/4" Male Pipe Adapter is the perfect problem-solver for connecting standard garden hoses to hard-piped irrigation components. This adapter features a 3/4" Female Hose Thread (FHT) Swivel on one end and a 3/4" Male Pipe Thread (MPT) on the other, bridging the gap between your water source and your system.

Ideal for attaching a PVC manifold directly to a spigot or extending a pipe run from a garden hose, this fitting creates a versatile connection point. The integrated swivel allows you to tighten the fitting onto the hose without twisting the entire pipe assembly, ensuring a stress-free installation.

Why Choose This Swivel Adapter?
  • Easy Swivel Action: The FHT side spins independently, allowing you to screw it onto a faucet or hose end without having to rotate the pipe or valve it is connected to.
  • Versatile Conversion: Instantly converts any standard 3/4" Garden Hose spigot into a 3/4" Male Pipe Thread, making it compatible with PVC tees, elbows, and valves.
  • Durable Construction: Molded from high-quality Schedule 40 PVC, offering excellent resistance to corrosion and chemical fertilizers.
  • Tool-Free Operation: The textured swivel grip is designed for hand-tightening, eliminating the need for wrenches on the hose side.

How to Install: A Step-by-Step Guide

Follow these steps to ensure a leak-free connection on both ends.

Step 1: Install MPT Side First
Apply 3-5 wraps of thread seal tape to the Male Pipe Threads (MPT). Screw this end into your PVC fitting, valve, or filter. Hand-tighten, then give it one turn with a wrench.

Step 2: Check the Washer
Ensure a hose washer is seated flat inside the Female Hose Thread (FHT) swivel. Do not use thread tape on the hose threads; the washer provides the seal.

Step 3: Connect to Water Source
Screw the FHT swivel onto your garden hose spigot or hose end. Hand-tighten firmly. Do not use pliers on the plastic swivel.

Step 4: Test
Turn on the water and check for leaks. If it drips at the hose connection, hand-tighten the swivel slightly more.

✔ Compatibility Check

Verify your thread types:

  • Swivel Side: Fits standard 3/4" Garden Hose Threads (Male Hose Thread - MHT), such as outdoor spigots and garden hoses.
  • Fixed Side: Fits standard 3/4" Female Pipe Threads (FPT).
  • It will NOT glue directly to PVC pipe (requires a threaded fitting).
  • It will NOT connect to Poly Tubing (requires an additional adapter).

Complete Your System

Ensure your installation is successful with these essential supplies:

  • Hose Washers: Essential for creating a leak-proof seal on the swivel side. Replace old washers for the best results.
  • Thread Seal Tape: Required for sealing the Male Pipe Thread (MPT) connection.
  • Valves: Connect AC or DC valves to your hose source using this adapter.
  • PVC Fittings: Use a threaded PVC Tee or Elbow to receive the MPT end of this adapter.
